oM loves Hannah Perner-Wilson’s (Plusea) tutorials and projects involving wearable technology and textile electronics.
Above is one of her tutorials to make a bend sensor from textile duct tape, three layers of Velostat, conductive thread and fabric. It uses an Arduino and Processing to graph the sensor data.
And one of her work-in-progress projects, a sensing puppet doll, has three fabric bend (pressure) sensors that controls the left and right direction of a ball on the screen (clip below).

Plusea’s YouTube channel has so many cool tutorials and clips, its totally worth checking out.

love the voice in the background in the first video, as well you can tell that her workspace is full of great stuff. Materials to make any sensor are just an arms reach away.
